THE CARNIVAL OF CONTINENTS Within the framework of the 400th Anniversary of the City of Quebec, Mr. Ousman Gueye of the Group Baobab would like to make his contribution. He thus invites all the communities to join him on August 2nd of this year, to come to celebrate their feeling of membership and pride to be a part of this beautiful city of Quebec. Placed under the subject of "The Meeting and The Friendship", this activity takes a journey through the continents. Ousman will thus be accompanied with groups of musicians, artists, percussionists and dancers native to Brazil, Africa and the Americas. The gathering will be made from 4:00 pm in the Place D`Youvilleand the parade will start at 6:30 pm to take the Rue St. Jean in the direction of Rue D`Auteuil to the Rue St. Louis, then to Rue Desjardins to return to the Place D`Youville. Groups of dancers and musicians will succeed one another in a big interactive production on the Stage "Bingo Quebec" in the Place D`Youville.All the population, and the bodies of the various cultural and artistic communities are invited to participate in this event in costume or suit of their choice and to come and parade and to dance to the sounds of the percussionists which will accompany them all along the route. We shall take advantage of this event to return a vibrating tribute to our brother, mentor and friend Ibrahim Gueye (Hibou) who left us on January 16th of this year. Let us make all of this meeting a Holiday filled with enjoyment, with friendship and love!
